Wee Man just has started wanting to bring things to bed. It started with his Iggle Piggle teddy. Fine - it's soft and small. A few nights later it was a plastic Percy train "toma" ("Thomas", no matter how many times I try to explain that not all trains are called Thomas). Not so fine - it's small but solid and hurts when you get hit in the face with it.
The next night it was an almost empty sippy cup. Better than toma because it isn't as heavy so hurts less when you get hit in the face, but that tiny bit of water in the bottom can actually make quite a mess. Tonight it was a large dog soft toy. It's nearly as big as him but soft soft soft - I'm happy.
My only complaint is how come he managed to hit me in the face at least once with the hard things, but tonight when I wouldn't have minded, there was no mindless beating up of Mummy. It's a conspiracy!

I like to read
This is my book on baby led weaning. It tastes very nice.
Should I put it on the bookcase next to the chewed how to train your puppy book?

Shoe shopping with mummy
We went shopping at the weekend for a pair of shoes for Wee Man. His walking has come on so well this week and there is a Clarks shop at my sisters (Wee Man and I had a road trip on our own while poor Daddy had to work) so it made sense.
He sat nicely and let the lady measure his feet - 5G. There was only one pair in stock in his size so that made the decision easy - blue with a dinosaur motif.
When he first had the shoes put on he walked like he was stuck in mud and really picked his feet up. It was very funny, although he didn't seem to think so. He soon got the hang of it though and is now scampering around happily.
