House alterations: Step 2

The next step was to remove one of the windows in the lounge.

The beauty of a timber frame house it that things like this are very straight forward. Window removed and boarded up in an afternoon. Very pleased.

Wee Man sat in his high chair and watched with interest.

More bento goodies!

Oooo! So cute! I can't wait to use them! Lots of picks, some cute elephant dividers, fab vehicle picks and sauce containers, and some vegetable sauce bottles.

Thank you card

A card made with my Stampin' up 'Make a Monster' stamp set. The letters were cut out using my new machine. Just need to remember to pop it the post tomorrow.

Me and Daddy

We're just so cute! Well I am - I think that Daddy is ruining the photos to be honest but I haven't got the heart to tell him!

Slurping spaghetti

Well technically it's tagliatelle but it still slurps down very nicely. I hardly had to help him at all with his tea tonight.

First visit to the dentist

Wee Man came with us to the dentist on Monday. We are very pleased to get him signed up with an nhs dentist.

His checkup was very simple - no teeth so no problems. He got a Thomas the tank engine collectable card - number 4, Gordon.

Big Man's was straightforward too. Mine wasn't so good though. I had a wisdom tooth out a couple of years ago because it was growing into the tooth next to it. Unfortunately the tooth it was growing in to has been affected and is loose and painful, it needs to come out. Ah well - at least it's free because I've had a baby in the last year.

Crafting fun!

My new embossing and cutting machine arrived today! I have been wanting to get one for a while and finally took the plunge.

I have ordered some more cutting and embossing templates which haven't arrived yet so only have a few to play with today, but I had some fun anyway. Wee Man was abandoned with his dad for a while. I've got a few nice things planned.

House alterations: Step 1

We have decided to make some changes to the house layout to make it more family friendly. We are changing the left hand side of the house to be a lounge, dining room and kitchen, and putting all the bedrooms on the right of the house.

Step 1 was to change the lounge doorway so we can steal part of the room for the dinning room.

Typically one of the sockets was in the way and had to be moved first.

Feeling naked!

Today I have left Wee Man with his grandparents while I go to my physio appointment. It is the first time I have left him with anyone except his Dad.

It feels very strange - but exciting too. When you've had a little person with you 24/7 for 7 months it seems odd to not have them there. Don't really know what to do with myself...

I hope he's behaving!

Update: of course he was fine. He was happy to see me but not frantic. He had a lovely time going to visit the neighbours and playing.

Happy valentines day

Inspired by all the crafting at the weekend with my lovely sister and sister in law, I thought I should make my valentine day card this year.

I made it from the Animal Stories stamp set my big sis got me for Christmas, using Stampin' up bright colours.

Dada dada dada

I spend hours every single day nurturing Wee Man. Hours! And what does he start chanting - dada. Repeatedly. Traitor child!

It's really sweet and I don't mind at all. When he said a perfectly clear "dad" in the car when his gran was there, she couldn't believe her ears. He's such a clever boy.

Just like on Friends

Have you seen the Friends episode where baby Ben cries every time he goes near his auntie Monica? Wee Man has, and decided to put in into action today.

My big brother and his lovely wife came over this afternoon. I thought it was great to see them both, but Wee Man didn't agree. He was very taken with his uncle, but every time his auntie held him, or even dared to look at him, he cried.

It worked out very nicely for me though because I abandoned the baby with my big brother and hijacked my SIL to do some lovely crafty stuff.

Three little snowmen

Lots of snow last night - yay! We don't get much snow at home because we're so close to the sea, so it was a lovely change.

We took the dogs for a walk and had a snowball fight on the way home. Both my hubby and my big sis got me right in the face - thanks!

Then we made some snowmen.

40 winks

He just looks so cute in this photo x

Egg-citing

We made shaped eggs yesterday. Really easy to make - boil the eggs and peel. Then while they are still warm put them in the mold until morning.

We sneaked the bunny one in my niece's packed lunch - I hope it was a fab surprise.

Helping with the laundry

We're at Wee Man's Auntie and Uncle's for a long weekend. He thought he'd help his Auntie with the laundry.

You know you co-sleep when...

Your baby doesn't cry in the night, or even open his eyes. Instead he just reaches his arms out zombie style to find Mummy.

He's such a cheeky zombie chops!

Giddy up Daddy

It was lovely here today. Cold but sunny. We took the dogs for a walk along Cymyran beach. Wee Man went in his back pack. I think he likes it even though he looks really grumpy in the photo.

I remember having one of these back packs as a kid and carrying my teddy around the house.

Crawling - of a fashion

Wee Man crawled from the bottom of our bed to the top of it this evening.

I say crawled but it was more a caterpillar movement and involved using his face to take his weight. But it's a start. Its been a big week for him - sitting and crawling. Clever boy.

Where's Danny?

Today Wee Man played in the big ball pit at the baby group with all his little friends. He loved it!

He's fast asleep now - too much playing.
